African Minds is an Open Book Collective (OBC) publisher. OBC makes our open access titles available to academic libraries around the world. We are grateful to the following libraries for their support:
Representing our community of scholarly publishers and related organisations, OASPA works to support the transition to a world in which open access becomes the predominant model of publication for scholarly outputs.
ScholarLed is a consortium of four scholar-led, not-for-profit, open access book publishers that was formed in 2018. The consortium seeks to develop powerful, practical ways for small-scale, scholar-led open access presses to grow and flourish in a publishing landscape that is changing rapidly.
OAPEN is dedicated to open access, peer-reviewed books. OAPEN operates two platforms, the OAPEN Library, a central repository for hosting and disseminating OA books, and the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB), a discovery service for OA books.
The ABC is an African owned, worldwide marketing and distribution outlet for books from Africa – scholarly, literature and children’s books. ABC seeks to be profit making on behalf of its publishers, and is non-profit making on its own behalf.
The Radical Open Access Collective is a community of scholar-led, not-for-profit presses, journals and other open access projects. It consists of more than 70 members and promotes a progressive vision for open publishing in the humanities and social sciences. What the members have in common is an understanding of open access as being characterised by a spirit of ongoing creative experimentation.
